Minutes of Write-On Hoosiers meeting on July 1, 2009 at Purdue Learning Center:
Members present: George Miga, Cathy Dziubla, Arthur Wilkerson, Michael Musak, Katherine Flotz
Sharon Palmeri was ill and Katherine Flotz led the discussions.
Readings:
Cathy Dziubla wrote a comical essay about the pronounciation of the name of the new president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejab, which the news media has trouble pronouncing.
Arthur Wilkerson is in the process of starting a new novel, beginning with "An Epic Poem - The Beginning". This will follow with prose and the story of the Great Book in which we learn the history of Terra and her inhabitants.
George Miga continued with "Medal of Dishonor" - this time McCall goes to the Washington National Records Center to find information about Cordell, the shoe shine man.
Michael Musak has written "Reinvent Yourself" - a piece about the Seven Deadly Sins. He is looking to find a magazine to publish it.
Katherine Flotz wrote another "diamonte" poem entitled "Evening Glow". She was inspired by a sunset in Lac du Flambeau, her summer home.
The next meeting will be on July 15, 2009 at 6:30 P.M. at Purdue Learning Center.
No meetings in August and further notice will be forthcoming when the September meetings will begin.
