FEBRUARY 23, 2023

MEMBERS PRESENT:

OLD BUSINESS:

The minutes for the February 9, 2023 meeting were approved by CINDY HORGASH and KATHERINE FLOTZ.

 

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

PAULA STEPHENSON stated that she has become the host for the internet radio show entitled the Jieke Box which come on various time of the day, a few of our members have been interviewed for the show.

READINGS:

SHARON BUCKMAN read two pages of her novel entitled Running on a Treadmill.  In this part of the novel, Chapter 4, Sandy and her husband, Mark, are in the process of moving to a new apartment in Seattle when her old boyfriend, Eric, discovers her new address.

KATHERINE FLOTZ continued reading two pages of her novel entitled, The Journey.  In this part of the story Kathy explains how Mr. Wilson entered their lives during World War II.

BOB NEUMAN read two pages of “Hopeful Words,” an Easter meditation based upon words spoken by a representative of a hospice organization.

JUDY NEUMAN read her two stanza poem , a short poem reflection of a rain storm.

CORRI STEPHENSON read two pages of her current novel, not yet named, which tells of a king waking up in the middle of the night after an attempt on his life, which is just the start of his problems.

AMY BRAILEY read two pages of her short story entitled, “The Camera.”  The story told of two men finding a camera in a locker of the house they just bought.  After taking  a picture they realized the camera takes pictures of the future.

CINDY HORGASH read two pages of her novel, “The Magic of the Blue Hour.”  The story tells of Jason returning to school after a mysterious three month hiatus.

SHARON PALMERI continued reading four pages of her memoir entitled “Decisions,” memories from mid June 1986.  The story told of her ordeal with breast cancer and the following surgery.

The meeting ended at 7:30 P.M.
